September 22nd SF Camerawork is hosting its annual benefit auction. The caliber of the work is incredible, including my print Tomales Bay alongside art world luminaries such as Carleton Watkins, Ansel Adams, Janet Delaney, Nigel Poor, John Chiara, Chris McCaw, and many more. Auctioneer Rick Wester, former Head of Photographs at Christie's, is returning for his third year as auctioneer.
Tickets are $50 in advance and $75 at the door.
I hope to see you there!
I am honored to have my work included in NUMU Museum's juried exhibition in Los Gatos, CA.
New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) presents Art in the Time of Corona, it's inaugural benefit auction exhibition of artwork created during and inspired by the massive social and political upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic. Proceeds benefit exhibiting artists and NUMU exhibitions and educational programs.
During the first few months of the COVID19 lockdown, my creative inspiration shut down. I was exponentially frustrated how to cope with being a new mom along with the little understood novel coronavirus that gripped our society. On our anniversary, the comet NEOWISE made a surprise appearance. My husband and I sat on our rooftop outside our bedroom window to observe this special sight. Only faintly visible to the naked eye in the San Francisco Bay Area, the comet was a glimpse of hope during a dark time. It inspired me to focus my work on personal projects during our time at home.
